How a HubSpot Partnership Elevated Our Agency’s Offering

It’s no secret that in order to grow you have to embrace change.

Along with that change, businesses are required to look at their strengths and weaknesses, their successes and shortcomings.

From there, your organization can pinpoint the areas that require that extra attention or push to help you accelerate in the right direction.

We reflected on our Mission, the ‘Why’, we got into marketing in the first place: Chirp Media was created to serve sustainable digital solutions that can support businesses to scale with the support they can count on, without crippling costs.

In 2018, we decided it was time for Chirp Media to pull the trigger to transform the way we worked as an agency and ultimately, how we wanted to serve our clients.

We took the plunge into the HubSpot Partner Program in March of 2018, ready to rise to the occasion in service to ourselves and the work we say we are committed to.

The Problem With The Old School Agency

We have been in the digital marketing machine since 2010.

With our tenure, we watched as many competitors either took flight or flopped as digital adoption became more and more integrated in businesses.

The demand for a full-service agency has been teetering over the course of the past decade, and as 2020 approaches, the overall state of trust towards agencies has declined.

The State of Trust In Business

Take Edelman’s Annual Trust Survey for example. Pooling results from over 33,000+ participants, across 27 markets worldwide, the consensus found that trust is at the root of the successful relationship; business to business, employer to employer and so on.

Invest in Employee Trust

According to the 2019 Edelman Trust Barometer, 67% of participants believe that although a good reputation can have you try out a product or service, unless you come to trust the company behind a product or service, consumers will inevitably stop buying it.

As marketers and digital disciples, we have heard first hand from our clients, competitors and collaborators the ineffectiveness in a business relationship when trust has been eroded or implicated. At Chirp, we knew we wanted to do something different.

Disrupting the Digital Agency Agenda

On our journey to our Partnership with HubSpot, we led with the philosophy from our founder that providing value was the cornerstore to creating success for ourselves and our clients.

Richard Walsh, CEO/Founder, had experienced first hand what was no longer working in marketing agencies.

He saw other agencies compromising client relationships all for the turn of a quick buck, feeding the ‘full-service’ facade that had businesses shelling out extra marketing spend for lacklustre results and the rare occasion of a quantifiable Return On Investment.

We knew in order to rebuild that trust with the businesses who had been burned by this old paradigm, Chirp would have to build rapport and resources with the right partner.

In order to empower our clients, we had to empower ourselves with the right mentors with similar values to provide the best version of our offering.

The Trip to Becoming a Gold Tiered Agency

In our effort to grow and elevate our offering, we made the decision to work with HubSpot, an integrated growth platform offering services in marketing, sales and more. We chose to enroll in HubSpot’s Partner Program because our values aligned.

The effectiveness of the program has had our agency rise among the tiers offered at HubSpot and provided us with the ability to scale, becoming one of the Top 8 HubSpot Partners in Canada.

How Chirp Media Has Grown

Since we started the program in March of 2018, we quickly implemented the coaching and guidance from our HubSpot Channel Consultant, Alex Desnoyers, and from there, things took off!

“It’s been a banner year for Chirp, and it’s been a pleasure being part of the journey to get to this point. Looking back, it was clear that Chirp is a natural, good-fit partner for HubSpot. There are a lot of similarities in our core values. They bring an empathetic, customer-first approach to everything they do. They strive to learn and grow every day. As a partner, they bring this and more to helping our customers get the most out of our platform.”
Chirp's HubSpot Journey Timeline

A year later, in July 2019, Chirp Media hit the Silver tier in the Agency Partner Program, expanding our offering to our clients and accessibility to provide additional value along the way. And it didn’t stop there.

Among our own empowerment and coaching initiatives, Richard was determined to make our mark through additional training in the HubSpot’s Lion Bootcamp.

Come September 2019, We introduced a new member to our team to help strategize and prioritize our own marketing efforts, putting into practice our own goal setting methodology and tools - all while receiving the continued support from our HubSpot Partnership.

Needless to say, as the year end approaches, we have managed to hit the Gold tier of program as of November 2019 and only plan to continue to grow from here.

How Our Clients Have Grown

And while all this growth for our own agency has been beneficial to our business, we would not be here without the clients who worked with us along the way.

In the year since we joined the HubSpot Partner Program, our clients have experienced an average…

  • 149% Increase in Website Traffic
  • 60 New Qualified Leads per month
  • 67% Increase in Conversion Rates

We have been able to grow alongside our clients through our partnership with HubSpot, providing a seamless customer experience that many businesses strive for, with a tangible Return On Investment worth bragging about.

Seeking Out The Solution to Transform Our Marketing

More often than not, partner programs like these show no support to their partners. Many competitor programs are created to help push their product or service onto the unsuspecting customer and collect our commission checks.

But with HubSpot it’s different, their team is part of your team.

How Our Agency Benefits from Our HubSpot Partnership

Being a HubSpot Agency Partner, we receive:

  • Support from an account manager to discuss sales strategy, new offerings, new ways to benefit our clients (without our clients needing to spend a fortune)
  • Support with an Inbound Specialist, to discuss our own internal marketing needs
  • Overall support of going above and beyond, joining us in webinars, and really becoming part of our internal team

Once we began our journey into the Partner Program, we soon after experienced the advantages and benefits we had been striving for.

How Our Clients Benefit from Our HubSpot Partnership

The best part of becoming a partner with HubSpot has been the bottom line for us: to serve our clients effectively without crippling costs.

As a partner, we can provide our clients with the same tools HubSpot has given to us to enhance their online presence and improve their digital marketing efforts.

Working with a HubSpot Agency Partner such as Chirp Media, our clients receive:

  • Access to online training and education to become empowered around digital literacy to improve their marketing knowledge
  • Certified tools and software that integrates into their Sales Systems to provide a fluid customer experience
  • Support directly from our trusted HubSpot account manager to keep clients informed
